Nunavut Municipal Training Organization

The Nunavut Municipal Training Organization (MTO) is a not-for-profit organization that provides training to municipal employees and others, since 2003, with the goal of improving municipality’s performances.

MTO Mandate: To identify, develop and implement programs to improve the performance of municipalities in Nunavut through analysis & assessment, training, education, professional development, and to facilitate the sharing of information, skills and knowledge between municipal councils, staff and other relevant organizations, businesses, government agencies and individuals.

The MTO also offers the opportunity for Nunavummiut not employed by municipalities to participate in training if space is available.
